CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    I just found this one wondering if it has been listed there is a lot of excess spread under the eye looks like he got punched and his eye is swollen ive compaired to d minted and a few other p minted and they are much less bulky is the word i use also ive seen where some people call the little bump south west of the ear lobe a double ear is this actually in the files as a double ear i know the one id call double ear is like the 84 where you can see an entire ear lobe south of normal ear

    The problem is that the 1984 was from a now long gone method of hubbing dies. And those doubled eyelids are even more long gone. This was from 2000, and based on what I see below the eye, and what I feel is reasonable based on the design, single squeeze doubling, and the specific location noted I do not think this is a doubled eye. It could be some sort of minor post mint damage or plating blister reminiscent of an eye.
