CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Two questions.
Where would a person look to find lost or forgotten coins?
Where have you ever found one and what's the story about it?

Um, under your mattress or inside your sock drawer? I guess it would depend where you think you last saw it.

I get the message. You are a sophisticated group of coin cravers who find no joy in simple minded banter. I guess being President allows you to be rude to newbies?

      Sorry to disturb you.

I thought it was a joke question. As originally formulated, your question was inscrutable. I'm still not sure what your question is about. Sorry if I offended.

But you are right about one thing, I don't engage in idle banter on this bulletin board. I prefer things to remain focused on errors and varieties. This is not a treasure hunter's club. There are specialty clubs around that do focus on that area.
