For the Reverse, is that a light ring of wear around the coin? Close to the rim?Originally posted by Purplegirl61 View Postimage_23867.jpg Hi it seems to me this looks a little special. And I noticed the PLU looks interesting as well as the mint mar D.

IF it is, this may be done from a coin wrapping machine.

The photos are better, keep up the good work, but it would be best to eagle eye those letters you mentioned to see if that potential coin wrapper machine did some damage to those letters. It looks like it goes right through the mintmark.

It could be a coin counter as well. The coin just got caught up in a change counter and was standing still, running circles like the curly shuffle until it was rescued. It leaves a fine line on the coin and can damage some of the devices (letters, numbers, buildings) in the short time it is in the machine.
