CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Here is a decent article on what Blakely's effect is and how to determine if the clip is real.

        https://www.australian-coins.com/err...oin%20planchet.

I don't want to be "That guy," but I believe the term is "Blakesly Effect." I double checked it in the source you provided.

Besides that, I wouldnt hold the coin like that either. Nothing worse than a fingerprint on a coin. They dont come off

From what I can see in the edge, it looks like it could be legit. Would need a full pic of both sides

Make sure you crop them the best you can. Photos need to be under 2mb and no more than 7 at time. About 800 pixels wide is as wide as this pages accepts without auto crunching anything.

I do all my editing via pc so it's boatloads easier.

My sweet spot for posting pics here is reducing them to 1000 pixels. About the biggest itll let me get to be under the 2mb. Crop pics to the area in question. Most of your picture is table and fingers
