CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Greetings, I have this tell me year 1975 according to what was investigated, it could be classified as MAD and it is said to be common, I have doubts about the notch in the letter W and on the reverse there is greater wear on the left side, I would like to read the opinion of the experts. Thank you

Yes, it is probably a misaligned die, and a very minor one.

MADs normally only affect one side, where as an off center error would affect both sides, and part of the design should be missing. A broadstrike would leave the coin a little larger that a normal dime, but all of the design can be seen on the coin.

Thanks, I'll look for images on off-center error and wide shot.
