CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I would personally like to say thank you for the objective and “error wise” inputs that are given here as “tools” of education, like the answer or not.

We are here to tell the truth, no matter the outcome. It is unfortunate to break the news that the coin is not what the owner claims it to be. The biggest reward here is a simple thank you, as we all try to do our best to help. Many appreciate the efforts within this forum, including myself.

There are occasional bumps in the road, and with that some disgruntlement might be evident, but it is handled in a professional manner as best it can be.

It is always cool when some one finds a bonefide nice looking error or variety. It is even sweeter when the poster does some homework and assists with or does all of the attribution by themselves.
