CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

One of many coins I’ve been hanging onto for several years, not sure if it’s pmd or error! Thanks for input!

The photos is bad, it is blurry/ not focused. If attempting to use a phone, lay it on a pile of books on the table. Then place the coin on table near the book pile. Slide the phone over so camera can focus on the coin and be stationary enough for a clear photo. No need to get extreme closeups we need good photos to assess what is going on.

Plus it is best to show the obverse and reverse of the coin.

In my opinion, and guessing here with the photo above, it looks like it was in the ground, (environmental damage) and being that way, the rest of the coin may suffer from post mint damage, something done AFTER it left the mint.
