CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Hey All,

Just submitted my membership application and wanted to introduce myself. I have been collecting on and off for most of my life. I tell many about my collection that I've sold off more than I'll ever have at one time or another. Many years ago my Mom found a double denomination on the floor of a Walmart not knowing what it was. That's when my error coin collecting really began. As a kid my Grandmother would always remind my siblings and I to check our change as there could be very valuable errors; doubled die Lincoln cent, three-legged buffalo nickel. I never knew him as he passed before I was born, but my grandfather was an avid collector. Sadly, his collection was squandered by greed before I was ever able to see it. Looking forward to a forum to share my collection and gain further insight to the great world of error collecting.
