This is sort of a grading question that is kind of frowned upon here.
This is because the opinions come from people who are not certified ANA graders. The only thing I can suggest is finding some photos online and match them up both front and back. Heritage auction (ha.com) might have some examples.
I tell clients don't touch the coin, but take your hands and make a cup or circle around them in limited amount of light. If the surface looks all white, resembling a cameo white brooch, it's probably good to go. Again, it is very subjective and you may have to consider if sending it in to add the requested DCAM on the label, to be safe. Always consider the full value of the coin versus the cost to send it in, including postage and insurance.
In the end, its simply comparing images online with the coin in hand. Thie photo supplied probably does not do the coin any justice, as it is not directly photographed on center, nor is the photo cropped.
Most photo apps allow you to edit the photo, usually depicted by a pencil, and close the box of the photo area down around the coin, to crop the image. It saves space and focuses it on the coin, vice a ton of background.Last edited by MintErrors; 10-24-2022, 11:27 PM.Gary Kozera
