In GOD WE TRUST
1999 Connecticut State Quarter...This looks like it may be a Strike through with Grease on the obverse and reverse...The lettering is not well stamped on most lettering...Most notable on "IN GOD WE TRUST"...I cannot make out the Mint Mark...Looks like there may be some doubling on the letters in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...WOULD THIS BE CONSIDERED A MAJOR ERROR COIN?Tags: None

In my opinion, it looks like a minor struck through grease. Coin is well worn. Not sure if the coin also suffered from coin counter damage. There'd be signs of a small halo style ring around the coin, with numbers and letters having the that same halo style look. The halo may only be evident on the flat surfaces (field) of the coin.
Photos are a little blurry. Try taking pics from on top a box or pile of books. Place phone on box or books. Coin on table. Less of a chance at hand your shaking.

No, it is not a major error. Circulated coins don't have as much value as uncirculated coins. There seems to be a large number of state quarters that have had the same issue.Gary Kozera
