Hey guys hope everyone had a awesome Christmas!! I was wondering about the "No FG" on the reverse. Is it real and is it worth tracking down? I came across a video of a guy coin rolling and he found one but it wasn't totally gone. He said that even the lightly struck ones were worth a good bit. Just wondering because I have one where I had to break out the microscope (Which is AWESOME!!.because it was a Christmas gift!!) Because I couldn't see it...lol. Anyway I hope y'all have a great New Year and happy hunting!!

The designers initials are part of the master hub design. All dies made will have the designers initials. It is die age, debris, polishing, grease or human intervention that might have them go away.

In my opinion, they are not awful popular. But, some third party grading companies have dee Ed a few collectible, and I don't know why to tell you the truth.

I also believe it may have been listed in Cherry Pickers guide at one time.... either Vol 5 or 6 prolly. but so was the Lincoln cent floating roof which is nothing more than a die that was polished by an overzealous mint worker. The Lincoln floating roof I have hundreds of, out of say 50 rolls.

In my opinion, some listings are pure hype to get coin collectors back into the shows and coin stores to visit and potentially purchase them.

I personally do not know anyone actively collecting the no designers Initials. They have to be 100% gone and almost flat field, in mint state condition to have a chance at some one willing to buy it. Then, you have time vs hope your going to find one vs hope some one will buy it.
