I’m not sure what I have here. A die clash of some kind? I also have one other 1976 quarter with seemingly the same error, but much less pronounced. The other quarter came from a completely different source. I have seen many 1976 quarters but none with this other than the two I have.

I’m not sure what I have here. A die clash of some kind? I also have one other 1976 quarter with seemingly the same error, but much less pronounced. looks clashed and abraded to me and even if you don't see it often, it is VERY common to virtually all coins and denominations, medals, tokens etc.
in the future, it may help to put arrows towards the thing(s) you are inquiring about. saves us a bit of time and makes our opinions more accurate.
