CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    No need to be there, errant partial part of a second 2, which would need to be reasoned as having been the cause of the perpetual outline doubling of the 2 on every large date working die. A class 7 modified hub doubled die candidate.

    Im open to other interpretations. But I don‘t believe the coin to be errant. Im not paid member

      Likeliness of reason includes WHY leaving a portion in that area during a specific aim of modification REENFORCEMENT for the 1982 is noted as having problems in the sharpness of sinking dies, and had a notable remedy called the small date.
