1935 Lincoln cent with issues
Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me what's going on with this coin. I know it's not a variety. Is this some type of plating issue? Die issue? My untrained eye sees letters, but I'm not that lucky. The pictures are of this "issue" on the obverse above the date and in front of Lincolns face. Any info would br greatly appreciated !Tags: None

defective plancht, improper metal mixture leading to a lamination error. usually not worth much but some folks do enjoy the more extreme ones, espeicially if there is separation/detachment.coinfacts.com - conecaonline.info - board.conecaonline.org/forum/numismatic-site-links - briansvarietycoins.com - coppercoins.com - cuds-on-coins.com - doubleddie.com - error-ref.com - franklinlover.yolasite.com - ikegroup.info -lincolncentresource.com - maddieclashes.com - money.org - ngccoin.com/price-guide/world - ngccoin.com/census - ngccoin.com/resources/counterfeit-detection - nnp.wustl.edu - pcgs.com/pop - pcgs.com/coinfacts - pcgs.com/photograde - varietyvista.com - vamworld.com

my opinion, it looks like a lamination issue.
The coin is pretty circulated, and it is difficult to know for sure if it was done inside the mint or outside.
The area looks old so it wasnt done lately. If it was done recently some of the area may have so shiney spots on it. But I agree with occ it's a lamination issue.Last edited by MintErrors; 05-07-2023, 10:14 PM.Gary Kozera
