CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

In my opinion, there comes a point, that I cease helping people unless they start helping themselves. Quickly, I see a pattern evolving here.

Otherwise, this can go on for decades. I suggest buying a book, that allows someone to learn about the minting process like a book from Margolis. The book can still be found pretty cheap. It helps people understand how dies are made and how coins are made. It helps by showing errors type coins and gives an explanation of each. I haven't got the time nor the patience to help people who want to sit back and potentially spam coins looking for answers and don't want to help themselves.

I know of two editions of this book. This is one. The other has a morgan dollar on the cover and a co author named Fred Weinberg, the King of major errors.

You have the reference, now it's finding one within budget. They might even have one out there at a library or other educational institution.
