CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • A seemingly new 1960 1c large date DDO

    God, (TRUST)-T,

    0 (in the date)??

It seems a rounded large date T is doubled inside a squared small date T. The only doubling besides GOD

I’m waiting for Daniel Griffin and Tanner Scott to create attribution guidelines for John Wexler’s site.

i'm not up-to-date with info but last i heard, wexler wasn't doing attributing any more. things change but that is the premise i'm operating under. i've talked to wiles and he is still doing them but afaik, not for coneca.

John Wexler is not doing attributions anymore. I believe he has sold the website to two individuals who say they are going to keep the same way it was. John gave an update on his main web page several weeks to a month ago. He's officially "retired" from attribution services.
