Die cracks. Very common in the 1950s 1960s and early 1970s.
you won't get rich off this one. Too common.

It's more than just a Die Crack. That is known as an Interior Die Break (IDB), probably mixed with some Retained Interior Die Break (RIDB). See Cuds on Coins here:

There are several 1955 IDBs, RIDBs, etc listed but I don't see yours, so you can probably get it listed if you want to take the appropriate photos. Contact JC Stevens.
