1972 D Kennedy Half dollar coin

I know most dark coins are just damaged but some can be valuable ,and this one appears blue when under magnification. Help this novice please.

if there is even a small chance that coin has any premium, it would take a lot better images to verify. that's the best i can do here.

This one has been circulated, and the deep color, as of late hasn't been very popular with most collectors. From what I can see from the photos is limited. The reason the collectors shy away from extremely dark coins is that it can be sodark you cannot make out the design of the coin. It's like your holding a dark disc. A lot of people are interested in various colors around the rim, accentuated with a little electric blue. We cannot keep toned Morgan Dollars in stock.


I don't know if the coin in question shows some minor pitting or not. If it does the coin may have been in contact with the ground, it wouldnot take too long to stain the coin with ground contact
