  • Discovery box 2017P Cents

So, I bought a $25.00 bank box off of EBay. It was already opened, the rolls laid out wrong, sideways instead of standing up when you open the box. I guess someone wasn’t interested in each of these rolls containing half 2017P cents all gem BU.

I’ve out of 5 rolls pulled 20+ of a large doubling reverse, not on Wexler Doubled Die.

i think unless i see some others that are listed (different year/mm etc) for a ddr shield cent, i'm leaning towards this not being a ddr.

will keep my mind open as modern ddo/ddr can be VERY minor but usually more towards the center of the coins.

i do see what i think you are thinking is doubling but i just can't get there but as always, gotta give it to you for dedication and quality pics and for me, that counts for a lot.

IMG_8230.jpeg IMG_8231.jpeg Here is the separation again.
IMG_8201.jpeg I just notice the hub retouching doubling that is doubled against an irregular amount of shown secondary image to the usual reverse. I look at the incuse hub retouching doubling, then see a separation (last picture) I know doubling on these hubbings are so closely related to doubling, the doubling is just nicer, thinner and tighter. If an image could remain that kept, there would be no point of the reason die wear shows none of the things hub doubling is.

Some in the middle shield too. 9th from the left, 5th from the right if your looking at it. Above CENT-CE.
