CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    You see a penny that looks perfect... then you notice the wheel marks. Yikes!

      I don't see any wheel marks on this coin. I do see some die abasion, or scratches throughout the obverse and reverse. Wheel marks are typically circular marks from coin counting machines that can give the coin a ring or halo effect around the outside of the coin, equal distant from the rim, it can typically be seen on the field (flat part of the coin) and occasionally on some of the devices like letters and numbers.

        On his head all the way down across his jacket. it is hard to see but I have a nice light for seeing those darn wheel marks.
