CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Die cracks or car wreck

The old walking across the parking lot and I picked up this shiny, new 2023 P dime. Got home, put it under my stereo microscope( 10x ) and the first thing I see are a couple die chips and a couple scratches. Then I see all the hairline cracks connecting them all together. Believe me, they are there but this is as good of pictures I am able to get. Coins are hard but can a car/truck do this ?

Is hard to make out everything clearly, but as far as a truck cracking this Parking lot Coin ? no, Die Cracks common if these are raised aside from the true incuse scratches. Lucky Dime when they are free.
