CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1961D Lincoln penny

    I would like to know if this is a collectable coin I believe it's the right kind of doubling it's a 1961 D with I think is doubling on both sides I will show as many as it will let me

    Hey Trent, The Doubling you see is again Die Deterioration on the Obverse and Reverse Stage D VLDS, this is verified by the Mint mark that I recognized
    right away, for I have this very sames 1961-D RMP-038, I am a collector of RPM`s . Go here and check it out

        Absolutely a great coin to have, I have some 200+ RPM Varieties. Always when looking at coins especially Pennies 1989 and before, look at the Mint mark and as well open up this link http://www.varietyvista.com/index.htm and navigate to the year and Mint Mark of the coin you`re looking at to see if any match yours.
