To the op, it's not a small date over a large date doubled die. But it may have a chance at being a re-punched mint mark (Rpm). There are more than 100 rpms for this year. The best place to look for a match would be at http://varietyvista.com or, https://coppercoins.com
The mint marks were punched by hand into the working dies back then. This left a margin where the person punching the mint mark had free reign on placing it anywhere below the date. You will see a boatload of different locations for the mint mark. IF you can match up the exact location of your coins mint mark and an example from one of the websites, then you may know what the RPM number will be.Gary Kozera
