    150 year old cent

A pretty decent find and pull out of my collection, a nice 150 year old indian head cent. Been a long time since ive gotten one this nice, this old, and i have had it for a few years now, myself, but i dont have a lot in it , only about $30 max. so im pretty happy with the price i paid for it, geez its been10 years ago already since i bought it! still i am happy with the price, i thought it was a good price then, too good, he offered it to me for twenty, and i gave 30, because i didnt feel right about it. Call me dumb, and i like a deal like anyone, but my conscious would have gotten me if i didnt offer a fair price, and i actually thought 30 was low, my price guide was OLD,and it was $30 in the 1960's or early 70's edition i was looking at. At least in Fine grade, and its a F12 all day, i think maybe better. So not a bad investment, for $30 if you ask me, id do it again!

Thanks! I know the older ones can get VERY pricey, the first bronze ones,1865-77 especially, so the link to a pricing guide for indian head pennies will probably be an eye opener to me, because im only missing the 1877 and the 09s, and this penny i just happened to run into, out of the blue, i havent collected or messed with my indian heads in about 25 years now, since i sold rick snow a couple of my duplicates, and it sounds like they may have gone UP since i put any money out, because $30 is the most, i spent, no the 08s, wait i got that free, for telling a guy a coin he had up for a buy it now on the cheap was an 09s vdb, turns out it was his grandfathers coin the family had been looking for for awhile, and he gave me, credit for the buy it now price, since i could have bought the listing. He was very grateful and MORE than generous, hooking me up with a graded f12 08s and 2 silver proof sets! Over the moon i was, i thought yeah ok well see how this rolls out, and he was true to his word with me, a VERY refreshing and a definite recharge on my collecting spirit and zeal, and on a fixed income, my odds of getting enough "extra" to afford an 08s indian head, when my limit is less than $50 a month. Especially when im trying to finish my biggest investment, and paint is NOT cheap, i will have well over a grand in materials alone on it, but it will be the last one, it gets while im alive, FOR SURE because im not doing again! Lol! Factory A/C Corvette Le Mans Blue Metallic with black interior, Ca built Tucson bought and raced, with original factory sheet metal on everything but the cowl hood(its genuine gm parts) and still sports the original rear spoiler, and this indian head is the Camaro in my collection, my favorite coin in my collection, top 10 NO DOUBT.
