  • 1944 D/S?

I am wondering if i found a 1944 D/S here. it LOOKS like a serif S to me but its getting late, so ill see what others think, and if no response , i will study into further in the morning, either way, as it appears too close to me to toss in the pile just yet. Thanks for checking it out.

In my opinion your coin is well circulated. If your talking about the area northeast of the D mintmark, it's not in the right area.

There are two Over mint marks for that year, on more obvious that the other. The only own i owned sold quickly to a customer. This one is the better looking one, and its population numbers are a lot lower.

Variety vista should have both of them listed.

Thahks again for everything, its much appreciated, and helpful.
