CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Evidence left over. A 1993 Cent FG on a 1992D Cent

All that’s left of this 1992D Cent designers initials is a straight 1993 G leg.

The point becomes interesting when you ask the question “then how is there so much extra material without touching the leg.

Then, what else would a modified hub doubled die look like?

So this is a normal FG for 1993. it is a G that was either hit and or polished. the curve of the G is a 1993 G the stopping point of the top of the G is a normal 1993 G, The shape of the F is the same as the 1993.....Sorry, but this is a normal 1993 reverse not a 1992.
