CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Fight for your modified hub doubled die.

Some people’s heads erupt in deranged laughter when having to entertain being pressed to the task of undertaking what a numismatist would need to accept as tending to be reasonable and likely.

    (BLACK ARROWS)

Like taking the time to look at even sized siding
created equal in both parts. It sure would look weird now if the top size being so short, would then resume a long bottom to the old end of the tie if this is not a modified hub doubled die. This being a 1985D and there being construction for a new tie design in 1986.

(Obverse cent design changes, Variety Vista)

It’s just a pattern hub doubled die which never came out.
