CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hi .i have found a 1936 Lincoln wheat cent with a very unusual marking below the date and also like a planchet error under Lincoln’s bust as per photo.can anybody assist me with this thank you if I could upload the microscope version it looks like it could be a mule coin although the coin has planchet error on both sides but the extra mark below date is definitely a puzzle to me .im new at this ,so please bare with me while I try sending better photo

    In my opinion, taking photo in holder will cause phone to focus on plastic and not coin. That is part of the reason the photos is unfocused on the coin. It is up to you whether to take the coin out and take the photos.
