  • 1994 Quarter Struck Multiple Times

This 1994 quarter seems to have been stamped multiple time with the die on both sides. What would this error be considered?

In my opinion, it looks like a really worn die struck this coin. It looks like it suffered from die deterioration, where the die itself has lost most of its sharp like new design. Quarter working dies typically strike close to 325,000 quarters before being retired. This one may have exceeded that number of strikes.

Additionally that haze on the quarter may indicate the coin might have been cleaned at one time.

One more thing, I just looked at the doubled die listings for this t
Year. There are no DDO's or DDR's struck in 1994 at Philadelphia.
