  • Georgia quarter die crack and 1985 Lincoln cent die chip

Does anyone else have a Georgia quarter with a complete die crack across the coin? Begins on the obverse at approximately 11:00 and ending at 4:00 .
There are several die chips and a possible strike thru coming off the 1 in 1999. Could be a scratch but looks like something remaining there in the coin.
Also I have a 1985 penny with a die chip that looks like a booger right under Lincolns nostril. Has anyone seen these?

One thing the CONECA staff likes to see is one coin per post. That way there is far less confusion on who is talking about which coin.

Without photos. It becomes difficult to give a good assessment of what your coin could be. If you need some help with getting photos to show up on your posts, I may be able to assist. I am currently away from my PC, so I will attempt to find the photo tips soon.

I can offer some help in taking photos. Its an easy process:

IF you are using a phone:

      Find a box, about 6x6 or 8x8.
Place the box on the table.
Place the coin on the table, close to the base of the box.
Place the phone on top of the box and turn on the camera app.
Carefully slide the phone toward the edge so the camera can see the coin.
Adjust the coin closer if need be.
You can zoom in, but do not make the photo blurry at all.
Make sure there is no glare on the coin, use a lamp vice flash from the phone.
With the phone on the top of the box, you can stabilize the phone with one hand.
Gently tap the shutter to take a photo.

If you have a photo editing app on the phone, if need be, crop most of the background out of the photo.
You should be able to draw a box around the coin.
From there use the cropping tool to remove any unnecessary background.
The cropping tool can look like a bent square.

Photos are best saved as JPG.
The photos on this website have to be less than 2mb each.
You should be able to upload 8 photos per post.
If more photos are needed, you can reply to your post and add more photos.

In the text area where you add a post, just to the top left , is a camera icon.
That will toggle on/off the upload buttons.
To upload photos, click on the UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS.

After you uploaded the photos, the list appears below the UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS button.
Click the area on your post where you'd like a photo to show, like below some text.
Then just below the UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS button choose a photo to place where you clicked.
Choose either LARGE or MEDIUM and the photo should appear in your post.
If you don't add it to the post, they should appear at the bottom of your post as attachments.

          Save them as jpg

Ensure you remove any unnecessary background by cropping the photo.

Last is to reduce the size in pixels. If you see the way to adjust the size) cut each number in half. So if the photo has dimensions of 2000x2300 pixels you can divide by 2 to keep the photo looking normal. Some photo app programs will allow you to "keep the aspect ratio", meaning if you change one number on the pixel size, the program will calculate the other number for you. Look for resize or something similar.

Typically a photo of 800x800 pixels here would suffice, after they are uploaded, and you want to add to the post, you can choose large as the photo size.

That's all I can think of right now. I don't know your phone type, nor the apps you are using, photo sizes so it's difficult to know what's going on. You may have to use your fav search engine to look up how to adjust the photo size with your style phone.
