CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • die clash or die scratches on the reverse?

I have 5 2024 Kennedy Half Dollar coins from my bag of coins ordered from the US Mint. I’m curious as to the lines to the left of the eagles shoulder. Are these die scratches or die polish lines? I think they are raised. Thank you so much.

In my opinion, they could be die scrapes. Possible feeder finger damage as well. Here is a link:

pretty much what i'd say verbatim !

those seem to be EXTREMELY common on modern (2010-present?) probably to do with some new process/machinery being used. def not a coincidence.

i would almost at least include possible die polishing of some kind but really too deep? and too parallel (despite one term being parallel line scratches lol) and i'm not sure that area is known for clashes which would be the main reason to have PLS there and that "deep."

mostly made this post to confirm my un-banning.
