CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1982 D 3.1 grams

    Hey guys, im new to this forum and ill be trying to learn from people more seasoned in coin knowledge. Can anyone tell me if any of these coins are small date or large date? Thank you

    In my opinion large dates - both of them.

    The top circle of the 8 is big. The last digit in date, the 2 is a smaller fancy looking 2.

    Small date has the top circle of the 8 much smaller and the 2 is more normal looking, and slightly taller.

    Though your photos are OK, I suggest cropping or removing the excess background. It reduces size in some instances and focuses on the coins, not the background.
