    2002-D Mass. 25c Die error?

2000-D NH 25c. Regarding the bottom of the eight filled with metal would this be considered a mint die error? Thank you for taking a look!

Definitely an error coin. This type of error is called a die chip. Caused when a small piece of the die chips away and the metal from the planchet when struck from this chipped die fills the small void left in the die area.
