CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Sorry about photo it's thru cellophane & I DARE NOT OPEN IT just for a good photo's sake, I'm sure you understand.

    I found this in the original US Mint UNC set cello and as you can see it has a big ink blot on the 8 in 1968. It's curious how this made it out of there. I guess someone was "@ lunch" that day in the packaging department because one would think that somewhere along the way it would have to have been seen by human eyes at some point. Yet, here we are. I find it rather intriguing . How would I research something like this? Or authenticate?
