I was going through a bu roll of 1957 D Lincoln cents and found a coin with some die gouges on the obverse. At first I thought they were contact marks but I found 8 that are exactly the same. Tilting the coin into the light I can see the marks are raised not incuse. the interesting part is that the gouge near the 5 in the date looks to be some sort of clash maybe or a overdate maybe, inverse 9 maybe. I don't know. anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few.
