In my opinion, its tough to know for sure on this one.
There is even some indication its on Washington's cheek.
From what I can tell from the photo, it looks shallow, almost like a scrape?
I don't see a photo of the reverse so I cannot look for any other clues.Gary Kozera

Here is more photo's. Don'tWIN_20240920_15_50_21_Pro.jpg think its a scratch because the spot is shiny also and there is more on the roof on Reverse

In my opinion, the reason it may be shiny is it could be either the coin was well kept and not exposed to circulation when found.
A circulated coin would have some crud within the crevice and it would be discolored. Its had 20 or so years to tarnish and get debris within the crevice.
Or, it was does recently.
The best thing to do is to add a post of this coin under CONECA Services => Examinations. They will give an opinion about the coin. This may qualify for struck through debris on the front. Typically - strike throughs occur on one side only.Gary Kozera
