PGCS ERROR LABELED WRONG COIN

CONECA staff and forum rules don't like us discussing value. It can change drastically between different folks and regions.
I have had a few error coins with an error label. One is a jefferson nickel struck 90 percent off center but was labeled as 10 percent off center. Another was a dime that said it had a D mintmark, but was a P. Another was a Washington quater struck on a 5 cent blank. The label read Washington 5c on a 5c blank.
Mistakes on labels happen more than people know. In my opinion, of the three I listed above, I think the Washington 5c would have been the only one that would have a modest premium. A wrong mintmark on the label it probably the most common label error. I would say it may get a few bucks over the value of the coin. The reason for this is, it's still correct in the year. If it was an off year and mintmark, or mislabeled denomination, it would fetch more.
There are collectors out there, and it's a possibility they would bite on a small premium. Only time will tell.Gary Kozera
