CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Another Coin...

So, I've been going through the coins that I got and this one is listed as D over P, but I'm not seeing it. Am I blind or is there nothing wrong with this mint mark?

D over P ? They did not have P mintmarks back then. I think they started using the P Mintmark on cents back in 2017 or so.

In my opinion, the serifs, top and bottom points of the mintmark, left of the vertical bar should have some light on them to see if those serifs are split. 1963 D had a few repunched mintmarks, but no overmintmarks.

With the way lighting is on that coin, I cannot tell if it is an RPM or not.
