    1883 V No Cents Nickle

I was wondering if this was some kind of damage or error? It is on both sides of the V on the nickle. Thanks

No, you did not post it in the wrong area.
This coin is highly circulated. It is sometimes difficult to assess a coin when its in this condition.

In my opinion, it appears to be post mint damage. To me, if you look to the bottom center of the "V", on each side, there is damage that eventually heads north to where these marks are. I don't believe those to be die cracks or chips. It almost has that smeared look to it, and its uneven.
