1981 D Lincoln Memorial One Cent Edging ?
This one cent has mark that looks like it's a tampered or fake coin. I am learning and need help to know what this is. Hoping my pictures are good enough. Any response will be very much appreciated. Thanks. IMG_3023.jpg IMG_3025.jpg IMG_3026.jpg IMG_3008.jpg IMG_3004.jpgTags: None

In my opinion, if they are going to fake a coin, theyd do something far more expensive, like a Lincoln cent doubled die of 1955, 58, 69. Or 1909 S VDB. If there is a slight burr on the rim, it might have been due to how the punch machine that made the planchet or, how it traveled within the upset mill during production. Its difficult to say what it is.
A part of vital information would be the weight of the cent, down to at least 100th of a gram (x.xx g). Its a 1981 so this is probably copper so it should weigh some where close to 3.11 grams. They have tolerances, nothing is exact in coin production.
