CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    State quarter error sets

    This has been a fun set to collect the past year but not sure what type of value there will be on them. The first set is what I call the liberty set an the second is the God set. Where each quarter has at least one letter in LIBERTY filled in. The second set has the same thing but the filled in letter is in IN GOD WE TRUST. Heres the list of states I have so far for each.

    I really like what you are doing. It shows that collecting coins is just not for money, but for the object of putting sets together that are fun to look at. Nice going and I do hope that you will be able to complete both sets some day.

      Yes, a very interesting collecting program. Do you mean letters with die chips in them or letters missing from being struck through debris? Would love to see a few pictures.

        got a Missouri LIBERTY at work last night.

        The errors are mainly the "B" or "R" in LIBERTY that the rounded prtions are filled in with a cud. THe only odd one is the Kansas IN GOD WE TRUST where the "T" in trust is missing due to a major grease spot so it reads IN GOD WE RUST

          Some have asked to see what types of coin errors that are making up these sets. So heres a photo of both types. An error in Liberty with the "B" filled in and the other is the "W" in "in God we trust"
