Die varieties such as doubled dies, Repunched mint marks (RPMs), Over Mint Marks (OMMs), Repunched Dates, Overdates, coin design varieties, as well as regular coins and error coins.
Doubled dies are exactly what they are called. Prior to 1995 doubled dies were created when morethan oneimpression was needed on working dies to show all the details of the images on the coin. If those images were off axis just a bit, it may be recognized as a doubled die. Those working dies were made of sreel, so the places the attributors show as areas of doubling are where it should be.
Its important to read the description as it will typically tell you where to look for the doubling.

A double die is classed as a variety. The misaligned die is classed as an error. It could be a misaligned die, off-center or broadstruck. Thos last 3 cases, its more than likely not a doubled die.

Its difficult to give opinions when there are no photos. In my signature block are three helpful posts. One thing to remember here is that photos need to be resized to less than 2mb per photo. The rest of the info is in the posts in my signature block.
