In my opinion, the photos are just too grainy. I think i see some white material on obverse and reverse, if that is what your talking about, the coin may have been located close to someone who spilled something. It kind of looks milk like. If it is clearer it could be some sort of glue. Its difficult to say with the way the photos are.
Plus, there is more background than coin.
Most software apps allow you to "crop" phots, removing most of the background by dragging the sides of the photo close to the edge of the coin and then saving it. Additionally, in my signature block i have three posts that might help with quality of photos if taken with a cell phone, what forums to use and one other.
