    2008 Mint Set

    Some clarification please.
What is the difference between the picture of the "die crack" that was submitted back in June, of the Arizona Quarter and the Arizona Quarter "spike head" that was in the Numismatic News this past issue?
    Thanks for any help.

"Spike head" or a "Spiked head" is just a dopey, unnecessary name for a die crack that penetrates the head.

      Thank you for the clarification.
Must make sure I no longer save any "dopey" varieties, just correctly named ones.

I never said die cracks were dopey, just the nicknames that are sometimes attached to them.
