    2004 - P Dime RPM or DDO?

Came across this in change I got back. The doubled mint mark can't be missed or mistaken. But, I am not seeing any other obvious doubling. Maybe Roosevelt's collar/neck and the "2" in the date. I couldn't find any errors on this coin year and mint and I think it is too new to be a RPM. I tried to find the date when the mint marks were added to the *die vs being a separate part of the minting process but no luck there either. 2006 seems to ring a bell but found nothing to confirm.

In my opinion, this looks like isolated die deterioration. Its lower, step like and mushy looking.

1989 was the last year for the RPM. References can be found on most coin variety websites like doubleddie.com or simply by looking at listings like conecaonline.info or varietyvista.com to determine the last year of the RPM for each denomination.

FYI...its "dies"...Prior to 1990 if a working die required a mintmark, they hammered it into each working die.

Personally I am not a big fan of taking photos of a screen. When trying to zoom in on the tablet, its a pixelated mess. You can take good photos with a cell phone camera. I have a post about it in my signature block.

Thanks for the info. Sorry about the typo. Uploaded a photo from my phone I took awhile back. I am familiar with how to take good photos with my phone however Samsung's S25 Ultra macro mode is a pain compared to prior model. I might check out your post or watch some YouTube videos about it.
