It looks legit, but does it have the "Blakesly effect" ?
When I am zooming in with the tablet, the photos are getting blurry/pixelated, so I personally cant tell...

Attaching better photos showing the opposing rim from the potential clip. I'm not seeing the Blakesley effect on either side of the coin. Does this mean it's not a clip? Thanks!

In my opinion, when I look at the original reverse photo the apparent clip area looks a little better than the updated reverse. I agree I dont see much in the way of the Blakesly effect. This might be due to the clip being on the smaller side. The planchet/blank may have sat in the collar just right and the coin was struck well.
The only sort of oddity is the letters on the obverse close to the potential clip, there may have been damage associated with the coin. Look closely at the rim and try to see if the rim area would have impeded the letters GOD WE . I dont know if the O in GOD damage was during the strike or after.
The clipped area resembles a clip, especially on the original obv/rev photos. Additionally there appears to be either a die gouge, or crack near the top of the Monticello building, close to the dome.
I am on the fence on this one but, leaning towards the legit side, from what I can see from the photos.
