1930 Lincoln penny multiple errors. Any ideas?
hi all. Im new to the forum but my brother runs a shop out of florida and I worked with him many years prior to moving to Seattle. I saw this in a coin dish at 7/11. its in rough shape, I know, but the errors are ridiculous. obv to rev is off by a few degrees which you can see in the mirror pic. the top ˝ of "In God We" is sliced off, the L is missing in Liberty, and of course, the off center strike causing all this mayhem. there is also what looks like a random "D" to the right of liberty but this might be a nib or blob. I've seen errors, just not so many on one coin lol. any input is appreciated. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

In my opinion, its just a well worn cent that has post mint damage. It wasnt done in the US mint. Once coins get into circulation, they are subject to all sorts of abuse. If you need guidance on how to take better photos, i have a post about it in my signayure block.

It might be a minor case of die rotation.
For those type issues, its best to put them in a flip or mylar.
Take one photo of the obverse then one of the reverse.

revisiting this coin. See that circular pattern around the coin. In my opinion, It appears to go all the way around.
This may have been stuck in a coin counting machine and they needed to use a tool like needle nose pliers or something else to remove it from the machine. That about all I can tell from the photos.
Again if it reaches circulation is subject to all kinds of abuse.
Only two things that know exactly what happened.
One is the person who did it and the Two, is the coin itself, and the coin is not talking.
