CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    I`m having problems with this planchet - i collect norwegian mint errors and got it with some other coins i bought a while back. At first i thought it was for the 1 krone coin but its a little to big in diameter and weighs less. It doesnt`t seem to fit any of the cointypes used in Norway or neighbouring countrys.

    It weighs 6,4 grams. The diameter is 26,63 millimeters
    and its 1,46 millimeters thick. I think its made of copper-
    nickel. The edge is smooth.

    Any input is appriciated.

    It's almost impossible to identify the country/denomination a planchet was intended for without additional information regarding its provenience.
