  • 2009 PENNY - NO "VD"

I found this penny in a 2009 P roll. Except for a couple tiny marks on the bottom, the VD of VDB is missing. I know this is an overpolished obverse die. The degree of overpolishing determines whether it will be certified as such. I need a few opinions as to whether anyone thinks it will certify.
    Thanks, Nick

    Hi Nick,
In this case since some of the VDB is apparent, I would not bother with a submission to a grading company. This particular coin wiould carry no extra premium and unless the grade is over a MS-66, it would be a waste of money. Just my opinion however.
