CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I'm not seeing anything other than what appears to be die deterioration.

I see nothing that would lead me to any other conclusion than what I stated on my first reply.

I do see a split serif in the two which makes me think this coin can be a possible doubled die but i'm not making a conclusion but there is notching on the tail of the two/

Don't see notching. Got any arrows to point to what you see?

I believe this is a doubled die if you look closely at the 2 you could see notching on the lower right hand corner of the tail and the upper corner of the 5

                  my 2 cents

If is MS/Bu I would have ck out by someone how knows all the Franklin D /die &variety's.and if one is found have it graded w/details. the date has the look of a D/Die
You may have a new die variety.
